Join the conversation about God!

May 12, 2010

Thank-you for joining the conversation about Trinity’s God statement.  The congregational comment deadline is August 31, 2010.

The statement has six sections: God reveals, God creates, God desires, God loves, God guides, and God heals. Please read one section at a time and post your comments by clicking on the “Comment” link directly below each paragraph heading.  To learn more about this project, please go to the “About this Project” page.  To see the whole statement in one place, please go to the “God” page.  To leave a question about this project, please go to the “Questions” page.

Your comment on John Shore’s site brought me here. Interesting project going on here. Are you getting more feedback than what is publicly visible? Interesting questions… Also cool that we are very close in the real world and you showed up at Shoreville. :)

I think this is a good conversation to have and to read and hear discussions. I’m looking forward to the Retired Men’s discussion in Sept. I am concerned however if we take these statements in isolation. As Christians I believe that God is the Trinity which differentiates us from other religions and beliefs. If I just take the statements as written here it would be difficult to separate them from other “Gods” throughout history and other religions in our own time. Most ‘peoples’ of history have ‘God’ and might attribute many of these characteristics to that ‘God’. I’m not sure of an answer but relish the continued discussion.
